Youth Go Names Mandi Dornfeld as New Executive Director
NEENAH, Wis. — Youth Go, a no-cost nonprofit youth drop-in center serving young people across the Fox Valley, has named longtime youth development and community leadership professional Mandi Dornfeld as its next Executive Director. She will begin the role in January 2026.
Dornfeld brings more than two decades of experience in youth services, family support, community mental health, and organizational leadership. She most recently served as an Area Director for the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension, supervising 19 staff across five counties and contributing to statewide and national youth initiatives. Her earlier roles include positions with United Way Fox Cities, Family Services–Parent Connection, and regional youth development collaboratives.
“Mandi is a proven leader with deep roots in the Fox Valley and a long history of creating safe, trauma-informed environments for young people,” said Matt Borkovec, president of the Youth Go Board of Directors. “Her strengths in partnership building and youth-centered program development make her exceptionally prepared to guide Youth Go into its next chapter.”
“Youth Go has been a trusted place for young people for over 55 years, and I’m honored to join an organization with such a powerful legacy of belonging and safety,” Dornfeld said. “I look forward to working with staff, youth, families, and partners to expand opportunities for young people to be seen, supported, and empowered.”
Founded in 1969, Youth Go provides no-cost drop-in services, outreach, crisis intervention, and positive youth development opportunities for youth in grades 5–12 throughout the Fox Valley.

Get ready for the spooky season and help Youth Go raise some money for all the great stuff we do.
Our August family night on Monday, August 19th marked the 20th time Timothy Chappa has put together a Price is Right event at Youth Go. It was an entertaining night filled with good food, good times, and good company. Volunteers from Appleton Kiwanis Club served food to over 140 members of the Youth Go family. Once their stomachs were full, 9 of those families heard former Youth Go employee, Josh Escher, call their names to “Come on Down!” The night began with the debut of the pricing game “Temptation”, and was followed by five more TPIR classics (Bonkers, Danger Price, Any Number, Vend-O-Price, and Plinko). Several youth put some miles on the Big Wheel during the two Showcase Showdowns, and one family managed to spin $1.00 during a spin-off! In the end, though, the Flenz family went home the big winners in the Showcase round. 4 out of 6 pricing games were won, and because of the $1.00 spin on the wheel it meant 5 families who didn’t get called to bidder’s row each took home a bonus prize. Blake and his mom, Kelly, set the standard for the staff prize guessing game, and received a $100 gift card. In total, over $2,000 in cash and prizes were given out, setting a new record for this event. Thanks to everyone who had a hand in making this night such a success, and to WFRV for highlighting the event for their Positively Wisconsin segment!

We had a tremendous turnout for the 2nd annual Fore the Youth Golf Classic. We were able to grow it from where it started last year, and hope to continue that trend in 2025. A big thank you goes out to our event sponsors. The financial support we receive from those in our community enables us to make a lasting impression with the youth we serve. Your generosity goes a long way in lifting up Neenah, Menasha, and the Fox Valley region. Thank you!
Youth Go will be partnering with PGS to bring you another charity golf scramble. The event will take place at Lake Breeze Golf Club in Winneconne on Sunday, May 5th. We would like to share the news that Youth Go’s Board of Directors has made the very difficult decision to not reopen Youth Go’s indoor Haunted House. There was so much that went into this decision and we believe that it is in the best interest of Youth Go moving forward. We plan to continue with our outdoor haunted trail walk called “The Hallows” for the foreseeable future. Please see the press release below for more information. Haunted House Press Release
