S.E.E.D. Career Exploration Program

S.E.E.D. stands for See. Educate. Explore. Dream. It is Youth Go’s career exploration program for youth in 8th through 12th grade led by Danielle Karls and one other staff member in which you will have the opportunity to meet with successful people in the Fox Cities and surrounding area to learn more about their careers through job shadowing opportunities, lunch-ins, and speaker presentations. This is a great opportunity to build rapport with future employers and get an inside look at specific programs within Technical, UW, and Private Schools. SEED outings usually take place on Monday afternoons throughout the summer with 6-8 opportunities to explore. A permission slip is required to attend and is located below or within Youth Go. We will be able to provide pick-up before and rides home after each outing if you live in Neenah or Menasha.

You can reach Danielle via email (provided below) and by phone at (920) 722-1435.

For the summer of 2022, we went to 4 different job shadow locations. We visited Pierce Manufacturing, Neenah/Menasha Fire Department, High Cliff for DNR related jobs, and the Bergstrom Mahler Museum. This summer there were also 4 private colleges that we visited, which were St. Norbert, Lawrence, Marion, and Lakeland universities. Looking forward to next summer we hope to offer some more trade-oriented job shadow opportunities and will hopefully have a panel of US Armed Forces representatives among other opportunities. See you in the summer of 2023!
